Eucalyptus Timber

This rollerball pen is created from eucalyptus timber. Nothing says iconic Australia like a gum tree. Australia is covered by 92,000,000 hectares of eucalypt forest comprising more than 700 species. Eucalyptus timber is commonly used to make didgeridoos, the traditional wind instrument of indigenous Australians. Eucalyptus is a valuable timber, and is highly regarded for pulpwood, honey production, dye making and essential oils. Some eucalypt species are used for attractive wooden flooring. Eucalypts are important koala food. The eucalyptus timber in this pen is an unidentified species of eucalyptus.
