Crushed Australian Opals and Mallee Burl Timber

Australian opals are glorious and flash their colours boldly.  Opals are formed when silica-rich water and sediment seeps into deep cracks and voids in rocks becoming opalised. The tiny silica spheres work like ‘prisms’ and flash colours.  We have taken opals, carefully crushing them, meticulously nestling them next to beautiful Australian mallee timber burl. Pictured are two tones of mallee burl timber which we typically use in this pen. Once the opal is set in place the blank is turned on the wood lathe and polished to a spectacular crystal clear shine. The pen pictured is not the pen you will receive but it will be just as stunning and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the makers.  A beautiful Australian gemstone souvenir.

Personalisation. We can laser engrave the timber part of this pen or an engrave-able timber pen box. In the text box please provide:
