Gidgee Timber

This pen is handcrafted from Australian gidgee timber. Gidgee wood is prized for its strength and durability and is one of Australia's hardest timbers. The heartwood is a deep, rich brown colour and the outer sapwood is very pale. Gidgee timber has a very fine grain and can be highly figured. The indigenous Kalkadoon people made nulla nulla's, shields, boomerangs, swords and clapsticks from gidgee’s rich, brown wood.

Yes we laser engrave. While the dark timber in this pen makes personalising this pen difficult, we can personalise a wooden pen box via laser engraving. In the text box provided:
