This artisan resin is sapphire blue. The vibrant blues celebrates Australia's beautiful endless oceans and warm summer twilights and features swirls of shimmering blues within blues. This pen and pencil set is created from Australian mallee timber burl plus a vibrant blue resin which is hand poured in Australia by an Australian resin artist.  Burls are lumpy growths that form on roots, trunks and branches as a result of the abnormal development of bud growth cells. Burls contain twisted, compact wood that is tougher than the wood from the rest of the tree and distinctively beautiful.
