Beefwood Timber 

Beefwood is an Australian native timber with medium to dark reddish brown or purplish-brown heartwood with lighter reddish grey rays, perhaps giving it a visual similarity to raw beef: hence the name beefwood. Historically, beefwood was known to be excellent firewood and was once favoured for firing bread ovens in Australia.
