Gidgee Timber

Australian gidgee is an acacia timber prized for its strength and durability. Gidgee is one of Australia's hardest timbers. The heartwood is a deep, rich brown colour and the outer sapwood is very pale. Gidgee timber has a very fine grain and can be highly figured. The indigenous Kalkadoon people made nulla nulla's, shields, boomerangs, swords and clapsticks from gidgee’s rich, brown wood. 

Personalisation. Due to gidgee being such a dark timber it does not show engraving. However, we can personalise timber pen boxes. In the text box please provide:
