Journalling Increases Wellbeing

Journaling increases wellbeing, especially when life is chaotic and unpredictable. Writing in a journal can calm the chaos within in as little as 20 minutes a day. And you don’t have to start at 20 minutes just a few lines in a notebook is a a great start, you can then build up to longer writing times.

Research shows that the habit of  journaling gives us opportunity to examine our experiences and process them. It’s kind of like listening to the deeper parts of ourselves that might go unnoticed if we just rush through each day. When we pause and give space to thoughts and feelings we can evaluate them and gain insights for future challenges. So write about your day unhindered. You don’t have to use any formulas you can simply write in any way that feels helpful.

While typing on your phone or iPad is OK, there are some advocates that have demonstrated that handwriting with a pen onto paper is significantly better for resiliency, mental health and wellbeing.

Oh, and write with a beautiful pen and lovely notebook will ya!
